Uluwatu

Uluwatu a bit of a mouthful and took a few days to actually remember how to say it, but oh my it was worth it. We managed to find that Jen and Jane didn't mind us tagging along with them once we had left the island, in fact they almost seemed keen to have us. We've been making good impressions!! One sweat lodge like taxi ride later and we were there and we had our own little romantic cabin.

Including an outside shower and loo, thankfully we weren't overlooked by anyone. Not sure how lucky future guest will be once the hotel across the road is built!

Uluwatu is an area mainly built on the cliff side overlooking the sea. It's a major draw for surfers due to the epic waves. And also to the woman who like to look at surfers...

These picture don't really do the waves justice, they were massive and we were pretty far away.

The next day we hit up Padang beach, it's where part of eat pray love was filmed although not quite the quiet haven Julie Roberts got.

Obviously not blog post would be complete without some food snaps. After a tough time at the beach we headed to a recommended Mexican place.

The picture should speak for themselves but it was luuuuussshhh.

In the evening we visited the uluwatu temple which is also on the cliff side just further down the road.

And yes there were monkeys everywhere as per usual. But this little fella.. Cutest little moustache.
