Bike time

As you guys now know bicycles and carts are the only way round gilly. So we decided to hired out 2 very pretty bikes with baskets and set off to explore the island. It's only ment to take 2 hours on foot so  cycling couldn't be that bad.

We set off up the lane, much more successfully than when we were on the scooters, and headed to a stop of the many beaches that are round the island.

As that also meant a lot of sand cycling was not the easiest, some stopping  and starting for about 20 mins over patches of sand. Which is very hard to cycle in, in case you didn't know. Also had fun battling with the incoming tide.

The views were definitely worth all the hard work.

I even managed to get and action shot whilst cycling one handed. Little wobbly but let's thank image stabiliser for the good pic.

We stopped for drinks on the way, all this hard work and in the hot sun too.

Nik chilled in a hammock...

And I went to my default of being under the parasol. Lush.

Not bad for morning stop.

Lunch was calling and we cycled back to the town for a quick bite with a view.

A bit more cycling and beach time later and the day was gone. Can safely say I 100% enjoyed this bike experience more than the last one!

Maybe wouldn't recommend cycling in the moonlight though as pretty as it is.
