Batu caves

The last day in KL came round and we decided to head to the batu caves and see the temple, to be cultural and all. (Especially after date night).

We headed there on the train, managed to actually get the right one too. Pretty impressive considering most signs are in Malay.

It was heaving once we got there with people, monkeys and pigeons. Yes pigeons, almost like being at home.

And the closer we got, the more the steps seemed to grow.

Taking photos is an excellent excuse to have to stop every couple of steps btw, just for future step trekking.

This place was crawling with monkeys, and not the nice kind. More the we're going to steal everything you're currently holding so we had to the quick step past those nasty ones. Although some were a little nicer looking. (Still used my full zoom on this one)

Nik was back having her picture taken with some tourists. Having blonde hair and being white basically makes you a celebrity out here and everyone wants your picture. Safe to say Nik loves it, me not so much.

Any excuse for a break.

And we made it, only a few pounds lighter from all the sweating.

The caves were really cool, although there was more monkeys and steps.

You'll be pleased to know going down was much easier, thankfully. And as a treat for making it in one piece we decided to get some henna.

The finished result.

And then niks turn.

And of I course our evening concluded with food.
