James Bond island time

We decided to go crazy and actually do something in patong other than the beach. So we booked up a boat to go to James Bond island. For all you non 007 fans this is an island that appears in the film man with the golden gun. It's a very fleeting view of the island but it's a massive tourist draw in the west islands on Thailand. So without further ado here's our boat trip....

Our vessel for the day.

Chilling on the boat waiting for the first stop, canoeing through a cave/lagoon.

Selfie with our driver for the day, Jackie.

Going through the caves

Keeping it nice and chilled.

Bit of a squeeze through the caves

And then into the best part of the day... Lunch! And with a view like this was pretty epic.

On to the highlight of the tour- James Bond island.

As I said this place is pretty touristy and there is a lot of stalls, which does kinda ruin the feel. But as most things in Thailand they really do try to get their money's worth.

Then onto a tour of the bat cave... No not that one!

Yes all the brown blobs are bats, thankfully all asleep.

Last stop of the day was a beach stop and we gave the canoeing a go on our own. Not as easy as it looks specially when 4 girls are in the boat.

And finally I abanded ship and ended up steering and possible pulling the whole thing along. Best way!!

The end of the trip was some entertainment from the boat crew, certainty an experience.
