Koh phang nan and the full moon

So after our few days in samui (and yes we spent the last one on the beach recovering from the exciting day) we moved onto the koh phang nan.

One extreme jetty walk, the whole thing wobbled and anyone who knows me well will realise what an achievement that was, and we were on the short boat ride over.

For anyone who doesn't know, koh phangnan is famous for it once monthly full moon parties. Between 5000-30,000 people come to the island to celebrate/party (and yes that was a wiki fact). Not wanting to miss out on the fun we made sure we were there a couple days before the full moon.

We settled in well. This was my view on the right...

And on the left..

We were staying in a little bungalow so ourselves, was very nice on the outside, inside had an interesting paint choice.

We also seemed to attract all the cool cats. Just sat outside our window.. Lovely

We had a few days of eating, tanning, swimming and possibly burning a little from me and occasionally we ventured out to stock up on neon for the full moon. It's an unwritten rule that everyone takes very seriously as you can see below.

And before we knew it, it was full moon day.  Cheeky little 'before' shot of Nik and me. Note those wall colours!

And the after, some would say an improvement!?

We cracked out the neon paint with the girls (couple of girls from our hotel who came from Alton, such a small world).

I tried to be a bit arty, not sure if it worked too well.

And the feet. (Not my best plan, still picking off yellow paint 4 days later)

My finished look.

And all of us.

And to the beach we went.

Met some locals, lucky us.

It was crammed

There was four of us and one of the girls had a stuffed monkey, so this was bound to happen, we got wolf packed. (Actually still wearing mine as I type)

Was an epic night and once I was on the bottled water I started throwing some serious shapes...

And finally the actual reason for the party.
