We went on a city tour today and did a few little things along the way. You know like having an elephant ride.. Pretty standard day.
*warning this blog post is going to be pretty picture heavy*
Yes this is us on our elephant getting a selfie with the one behind, some things never change.
This is our elephant for the trip, chang nok. We assumed she was a girl, we'll just stick to that. She's just grabbing a bite. Fun fact (something we learnt on the day) elephants apparently don't digest food and basically eat and poop all day long.
Our first pic of us all.
Someone behind us was a little impatience with the photo taking.
So this little guy just having a stroll on his own, you can't really tell but he was a baby elephant.
Last pics on our girl. It wasn't till after this pic was taken we realised we had to make the leap off the elephant back to solid ground
Luckily we managed it and found this little cutie whilst waiting for the next activity.
This guy was massive.
Ringing a bell for luck.
Next was a Chinese temple.
Getting a bit arty with my selfies..
We hopped back in the minibus and went on our way, suddenly we were heading up a pretty steep hill. So steep I was leaning forwards (family joke there guys sorry). Was worth it though as we ended up at a viewpoint over samui, got a pretty cool snap.
Samui has quite a few waterfalls and we were off to see one next, so back to the bus we went.
Some sun in what felt like the middle of the jungle.
But was worth it
Hope you guys appreciate the climb over rock for those pics. In flip flops and being a non climby kinda girl, I was very proud of myself.
Time for a refreshment break.
Seemed pretty happy about this.
Then we founds his guy just waiting to be fed bananas
Greedy little man
Luckily we did complie and fed him up
Next was a stop at the mummified monk, yes you read that right. But it's ok he's wearing his ray bans so it's not too gross.
Still pretty weird.
Now finale stop on the tour is some rock formations called the grandmother and grandfather rocks. Not as innocent as they sound I'm afraid. For those easily offended I'd skip on a couple clicks.
The grandfather.
The picture the tour guide took for me, he's done this far too much. Pure shock on my little face there.
