Eat street- Sunday funday

So Sunday rolled around and after we'd rolled out of bed we headed off to ze eat street markets for brunchinner (yes a combanation of all three meals). We'd been recommended this place by Rach and Becky so long along that they've now finished their travels and are actually home. But we finally got here and oh my it was worth it.

We jumped on my new favourite choice of transport, why take a bus when you have the choice of a boat (maybe a ferry) and headed off.

The smell once we'd got there, it was like food heaven. Mmmmmmm. The market is on the water front with most of the  stalls and stands being made from storage containers. Add an extra edge to the market not that it really needs it with all the glorious food on offer.

Have now realised that neither of these picture actually show the storage aspect, so you're just going to have to believe me. They were there, honest.

Not all the stands were food, they through some craft/home bits in there too.

After perusing for a while and double checking we hadn't missed any food options we went in for the final choice.

I went for the sweet pig slider, a mini pork burger. Small but super mighty indeed.

And who can beat a cheeky red velvet cupcake, just won out above the gluten free donuts.

The food as you can tell was super good and I really wish we'd gone earlier brisbane time so we'd have more time to go back again and again. A well spend Sunday if I do say so.

Just time to enjoy the boat back, ah the jet set life.

Riverfire

At the end of the yearly brisbane festival is a spectacular firework show called riverfire. And we decided to spend the evening out to investigate just how spectacular it was. To start with there were so many people out to see the fireworks, hundreds of people just everywhere. We ended up on a bridge to watch them and found a nice little spot behind some vertically challenged people just like us.

Just to add taking pictures of fireworks is hard work, especially with short arms, but I tried my best and this is what i came home with.

They had they coming out of the skyscrapers too.

All throughout the show it had music alongside, and when 'all you need is love' came on, out came the heart shaped fireworks. Something I've never seen before and added such a nice touch to the show.

Not being a huge fan of fireworks, I really enjoyed the show. It was massively over the top but a really enjoyable night! A slow shuffle through the crowds and some nice shots of the city in the evening and  then our evening was over before we knew

City botanical gardens

It was gorgeous weather yesterday, unlike the storm we've had today, so I went for a stroll round the city botanical gardens. Which is more gigantic park in the middle of town. Not a huge amount more I can say here so sit back and enjoy the pictures.
