Whitsunday tour part 2

6am wake up was how the next day started. Not 100% appreciative of that one but once we were one of the first on Whitehaven beach it's was considered worth it. We went over from the main boat to the island in the little dinghy and our deck hand had dressed up for the occasion in a suit jacket and top hat.

Once everyone had arrived a few trips later we went off on a little trek to the view point, still pretty tired and a little cold (7am guys). But wow it was worth it again, stunning views and not a person in sight to ruin the pictures.

Here would be where I add one of the group pictures from the boat camera, but seeing as they haven't been uploaded on Facebook yet this will have to be uploaded at a later date.

After the view point it was time to actually go to the beach. Yay. The sand was amazing, so white and felt like walking on flour. In fact I mentioned many times that I felt like I was walking through cake mix, so if you'll guys wanna play along and see what it was like, time to go hit up the Betty Crocker in Tescos.

Before we were left to our own devises our deck hand took us to find some stingrays. After wadding in water a little too deep for short people, ended up with a wet bum, we found some. If you were still they'd swim right over to you. Pretty cool.

After that we had couple of hours to chill and enjoy. Which for us meant time to go crazy with the camera, just so I could share with you all of course.

Yep those big foot size footprints are all mine!!

I think the lack of sleep had started to effect us....

Once we were all photo'd out it took a while, we chilled with a group from the boat and just enjoyed our view. Not a hard job at all.

As the sand is made up of 98% silica and it's meant to be a really good exfoliate for your skin and teeth. You can guess what happened next, word to the wise sand in your mouth not the nicest feeling in the world. I felt as smooth as a baby's bum afterwards though (just like James).

The tide was coming in so we went to explore the rock area, yeah as I said I was tired so rock climbing bare foot seemed a good ideas. Made it in one piece though.

Was just a tad windy up high. I think we rock the windswept and not washed our hair in a few days look personally.

Before long we had to head back to the boat. It really was a perfect morning in one of the best beaches I've ever stepped on. The rest of the day was spent napping in the sun, eating and spotting a few whales. Sadly they popped up when the camera wasn't present, but you'll just have to believe me on that one. All in all a pretty damm good boat trip.
