Townsville

We've headed south from cairns, about 6 and a bit hours south. Yes that's how long the greyhound was, nice sort journey to ease us in! But have ended up in a place, yes if you hadn't already guessed, called Townsville. The main purpose of being here is so we can head to a island across the way called magnetic island tomorrow. But till then we've got part of an afternoon and evening to kill. So we headed out for a walk to get a feel for the place.

That's magnetic island in the distance.

We stumbled across a little market, which to us is more like a summer fair. It was really cool, luckily I had my sensible head on realised I wouldn't be able to get home most of the cool things I spotted. Also being that I have no idea what size my nephew is anymore, (a very sad thought) he also missed out on some very snazzy clothes.

Now I can't say I'd overly recommend a trip to Townsville being at there is not a lot too do at all, but for a couple of hours it's a really nice place to have a walk along the seafront and mingle with the locals. Now as said earlier we're heading to the Island tomorrow and I've got high hopes that's it's going to be a gooden'.
