Dreamworld

As we were already in surfers paradise, thought it would be rude to not go and investigate the local theme park, Dreamworld. So we hopped on a bus as usual and got on our way nice and early.

It's kinda a mix of Thorpe park with an universal studios. There's little bits of film ride in their, alongside the big ass scared rides and then some animals so keep everyone else amused. We of course tried a little bit of everything out.

We started out day lightly with the baby roller coaster, just to settle in. Then we moved on to the big guns, just a light ride of being swung 360.

Had a look at the animals next, not a huge amount but I guess enought I keep the little ones amused.

Amd maybe the big ones too.

And of course the obligatory koalas and roos.

Back to the rides and it was time for the rapids and log ride but not without a bit of foolin around in the Wild West first.

And we got soaked as usual, but on the plus side I wasn't wearing white like Nik!!

Next up was lunch, most important time of the day. Straight after we headed onto his guy.

Luckily we had a huge wait (which we found out just as we were getting on for our turn that it was because the ride kept breaking down) before we were thrown backwards at 90mph. After the crazy speed you went flying up into the air as below.

Sat at the top for a while before coming shooting back

For someone who doesn't really like theme park rides it sounds horrific but being one of these people I can safely say it goes very fast and if you keep your eyes closed outside it's not scary at all!! Does this mean I can now be upgraded from a bag holder on Thorpe park trips?!?

Next up because we were feeling fearless we hit up a version of ramsays revenge with more spins and twirls.... Good job lunch was a long while ago for this one.

The day of course finished off with the biggest ice cream ever, I actually struggled to finish it. But no fear I did manage it eventually.

So that was our day at Dreamworld. Clearly I'm now a theme park convert who'd have known?
