Byron bay

So next up was Byron Bay, we spent a few days here just chilling and not really doing too much. But on our last day we took a free guided walking tour round the bay. I might like to add wasn't till we'd got there that we found out it was 3 hours long and involved steps, already committed though we soldiered on.

The tour took us to see cliffs and lighthouse, which also happens to be the most easterly point of Australia.

We even saw a gigantic pod of dolphins swimming by, not much to see in the pic but the grey blogs  and white rips are all dolphins.

The walk ended by going along the beach back to the hostel, being that it was one of the only real blogable things we did in Byron, it was actually a lot of fun (if you block out the 200+ steps at the start).

As an after thought I've remembered that we did end up doing a BBQ on one of the beach grills with some people we'd met at the hostel. The food was pretty good, definitely not eaten that much meat in a long time!!

So that's Byron bay for you, I'll leave you with a picture from our night out which included free face paint.
