So long ago Saturday: Lone Pine koala sanctuary

A heads up for this post, it's very koala heavy. Which I personally think is an added bonus for all of you! But back to business, we all headed off to the LP koala sanctuary on a mission for sandy to see her first koala, roo and croc. I can safely say me and Nik were more than happy to tag along for the ride.

With our map in hand, off we went to find our first friend. This cheeky fella was our first.

Shortly followed by the mummas and baby koalas, I think I had about 25+ pics of them alone so let's congratulate me on editing them down to these few. Although it was early on in the day it was soon apparent this would be my highlight. I've never soon them so active (we found after that it was close to feeding time) normally you see a koala asleep and that's it. These guys were strolling around and being very photogenic.

Yes this guy is actually jumping. I was so tempted to pick him up and run....

We dragged ourselves away and found a little devil all asleep.

And the cuckoo burrow in the old gum tree (almost).

The dingo standing tall

Being mostly koala orientated we stopped for the chat to learn more, was rather interesting if I do say so.

These guys thought so too...

Had a quick selfie with sandy, we pretty ladies.

And Nik had her photo with a friend too.

Time for the roos, very photo friendly here. "Me, me, me, take my picture"

So of course we obliged them competely.

And no we didn't forget the main guys. Always time for more photos of them.

And the very small crocs, but we managed to cross all of them off sandys list. Gold star for us!

Even found some animals from home

And as always Cassie just for you, your favourite... Baaaaaaaaa!!!

And believe it or not but this one is a chicken ( Jill please get one), a massive ball of fluff that walks.

Before we left we managd to find some more, yep you guessed it, koalas.

We had a really lovely day there, and just writing about it makes me want to go back. Would 100% recommend this to anyone in the brissie area.
