Bangkok

So our first full day travelling, and man it was a hot one. Bangkok is very hot and muggy currently, nothing like the feel of sweat dripping down your legs.... But we still managed to have a fun filled day.

We started the day off at the grand palace, and yes we had to borrow clothes to cover up properly. Anyone who knows me will realise how much his would have pained me to put on a sweaty pre used shirt but I struggled though the last persons sweat like a trooper.

Safe to say Nikki was pulling off this look a lot better than me!

We then headed back to the traveller mecca of Bangkok, koh san road.

A few little hostel pics...

Little garden area in the hostel.

We then hit the many shopping centres here and yes I did find a stuffed toy in the shape of dog poo. Oh Asia you strange place.

The view from the restaurant, some epic people watching went on there.

Cheeky little selfie in front of the water fountain.

And they do sell some pretty cool clothes here, this one I love!!

All for now, as we're just about to get on a over night bus (12 hours) down south to Krabbi and hit up some beaches, yay! Bangkok it's been fun, until next time.

And we're off.

So currently typing this whilst on the last 30 mins of our last flight, which means we're nearly there!

Been a super long day although i think technically it's now two days. Started off very emotional with the goodbyes to mumma cole, my sis, nephew and my sir charles. and then onto the joys of two 13 hour combined flights to get to Bangkok.

Our cheeky first picture of our trip. puffy eyes and no make-up always a delight!

And then slight added bonus of leaving London whilst the weather was utter pants.

After being interrupted in my blogging by having to land, I'm now back finishing this off in our first hostel of the trip.

So yes we did here in one piece.

And yes we're already fully fledged tourists!

All for now, let's see what our first proper day tomorrow brings....

Xxx

FAQ

Ever since telling everyone that I'm off on my travels (in 3 days eek) I've been asked a lot of the same questions again and again so I though I put all the questions and answers in one nice place.

How long are you going for?

I'm going for 8 months from the 23rd April til 20th December.

Where are you going?

We're starting in Thailand, then heading down south over Malaysia and Singapore. Then we head to Bali. That will all be in the first two months, then we heads to Australia for the next 5 months and work our way down the east coast. Last month will involve two weeks in Fiji and two weeks in LA.

Do you have everything planned and booked?

No, we have our first few nights in Bangkok booked but other than that we are plan free. The only time scales we are working to are our internal flights which are already booked.

Are you taking a suitcase or backpack?

Imagine trundling a suitcase through 7 different countries for 8 months, over cobbles, dusty tracks, sand and jetties, makes a backpack much more appealing. Also the added bonus of not being able to pack too much unless I want to end up like the hunchback of Notre Dame.

Whats happening with your job?

Well I handed in my notice at my work (and have since left) and one of my nicer friends told me the other day this means I'm officially unemployed. Slightly scary thought but when given an option of working in an office for 8 months or travelling, it's not really a hard choice.

How are you affording this?

I saved and sold a lot on eBay. I also have a working visa for Oz so will be topping up the funds that way too.

Have you packed yet?

I'm a massive planner with lists and lists of everything, but in actual doing I leave most things last minute. Just as long I don't leave it till an hour before I leave, it will be an improvement on last time.

Are you excited?

Possibly the silliest question every, but yes I'm super excited!!!

I think thats all of them so far, but I will be updating this as I get asked.

Australia here we come

Just a really quick update on my travel plans.

Today was visa day, being as I want to work is oz I need a visa to do so.

After one very long internet session which involved my criminal past* and my plans to be a terrorist in Australia*, they regrettably (for them) decided I was allowed in the country!

Australia here I come!

*this is just a joke, I'm a very lovely person and oz will be lucky to have me.
